As a kid, I used to fill my school notebooks with particularly terrible drawings of my classmates. And Darth Vader — I knew every single detail of his armor. Then I stopped completely.
A burnout brought me back to drawing — pencil and paper first. Not planned at all. I needed to think about something else, to slow down, to do something concrete just for myself. Starting on paper reminded me of that forgotten love of drawing. I quickly bought a tablet to try going digital.
There are phases where I'm fully into it — and phases where my iPad sits in a drawer for months. But I love it, and I'd like to draw a lot more.
